At last, it is my time to go on stage. Breathing heavily behind the long dust-filled curtain makes the anticipation overwhelming. I wait anxiously, taking deep breaths as I compose my quivering body. The moment has arrived to make my first appearance to the audience. This is the moment where I gather up my past and focus on this new persona. I walk slowly around the curtain and say my first line as this consuming character. My body feels weightless as it tingles with numbness, but now I am safe and poised to do my best. The stage and I join forces to illuminate creativity and give awareness of plot, stories and life. This is my story of existence.
What is required on this voyage of mine: enthusiasm, belief, talent, innocence, focus and a passionate longing to say something significant. In order to take on a calling in this world, your need to answer that passion must take over practically every other craving you could perhaps have. To achieve something, you must endure sacrifices: of your time, your economic safety, your private life, and most often, every last slice of your harmony of mentality. And that is why I act, to survive life, to create and inspire, to learn and grow, to love and hate no matter the sacrifice.
I yearn to create art, not only by acting but also by exploring and creating an appreciation within myself and escalating my passion of theatre and the arts. I have succeeded and failed only to triumph once more. I can only describe those moments of excelling and crashing as an experience that has now shaped me into the man I am today—so that when I take my bow I will unquestionably feel a sense of achievement and fulfillment.
